Can I use Chorish offline?

Absolutely! As long as you've loaded the site once, you can use it even if your WiFi is taking a nap. Perfect for those moments when you're in the basement doing laundry and the signal's weak.

Do I need to sign up?

Nope! No sign-ups, no logins, no emails. Just open the site and start tracking chores. We believe in keeping things simple and private.

How do I reset all chores?

Head to the management page (if you're the home owner) and look for the reset button. Poof! Fresh start. Perfect for when you want to start a new week or month with a clean slate.

What if I lose my device?

Since everything is stored locally, losing your device means losing your chores. (Sorry! Maybe take a backup now and then?) We recommend taking a screenshot of your important tasks or using the export feature if available.

Can I use Chorish on my phone or tablet?

Yes! Chorish works great on any device with a modern web browser. Whether you're on your phone, tablet, or computer, you can manage chores from anywhere. The interface automatically adjusts to fit your screen size.

How do I install Chorish on my tablet?

Great question! You can add Chorish to your home screen for a true app-like experience (and one-tap access). On Safari for iPad, tap the 📤 Share button, then choose "Add to Home Screen". On Android, tap the three dots menu in Chrome and select "Add to Home screen". Now you can launch Chorish just like any other app—no downloads, no fuss, just chores (almost) made fun!

Is Chorish really free?

Yes, Chorish is completely free to use! We believe in making life easier without charging a penny. You might see some ads (they help keep the lights on), but they're family-friendly and won't get in your way.

How do I add my family or housemates?

If you're the home owner, just head to the management page and click "Add Member." You can add up to 5 other people (6 total), give them fun names, and even pick their avatars. It's like creating a little digital family!

What happens if I clear my browser cache?

Clearing your browser cache will reset Chorish to its starting state. All your chores, members, and settings will be cleared. If you're planning to clear your cache, make sure to take a backup of any important information first!

Do you show ads? Why?

Yes, we show some ads to keep Chorish free for everyone. We carefully select family-friendly ads that won't interrupt your chore-tracking experience. The ads help us maintain and improve Chorish without charging our users.

Can I get support?

Of course! Visit our Contact Us page and we'll do our best to help (and maybe tell you a joke). We usually respond within 2 business days, unless we're busy vacuuming.

Why do the add note, add chore, and edit note buttons disappear in fullscreen mode?

Great question! On iPad and mobile devices, when you go fullscreen, browsers (especially Safari) don't play nicely with typing into dialogs—they kick you out of fullscreen as soon as you try to type! To keep things smooth and avoid confusion, we hide the controls that require typing (like adding or editing notes and chores) while you're in fullscreen. Just exit fullscreen to add or edit, then jump back in when you're done. It's not us, it's the browsers!
